3 Things

1. Can You Live Off Your Dividends? (A Wealth of Common Sense)

2. It Can Be Easier to Fall Victim to Fraud on Mobile than Desktop (Oblivious Investor) (Note: this is one reason I use a unique email address with financial institutions. I've yet to receive a single spam email to that address. If I ever do, I know it's been compromised and I'll replace it with a new one.)

3. Reducing Retirement Income Volatility With The Modified RMD Safe Withdrawal Method (Kitces)

What I'm Reading, Listening To, Watching, and Thinking About

  • I've been reading Both Sides Now, the annual letter to shareholders of Semper Augustus Investment Group. Very good, detailed analysis of Berkshire Hathaway.
  • Speaking of Berkshire, I'm also reading Greg Abel's first letter to shareholders.
  • And I've finally started reading Robert Caro's 3-volume biography of LBJ (he's working on a 4th). The Path to Power is the first one in the series. His writing and superb.

Tools I'm Using From Partners

  • Aura: It's the swiss army knife of online security: antivirus software, password manager, VPN, identity theft protection, parental controls. Get up to 68% off.
  • Monarch Money: Get 50% off the First Year Discount Code: ROB50
  • Boldin: I use this tool for our retirement planning. ProjectionLab is also a great financial planning tool and is offering a 10% Discount Code RBERGER-10.
  • Kubera: My choice to track investments and net worth. They offer a 14-day free trial. An excellent free alternative is Empower.
  • 1Password: An excellent password manager currently offering 25% off on annual plans.
